Anyone else wish that TV Land would re-run Emergency?
It'd sure beat watching John Ritter trying to be funny.

You were born after VCRs were invented weren't you?

Emergency ran from the late 60s to the early 70s(help me out on the dates.I was very young in my childhood) and showed people what firefighters did when they weren't running into burning buildings. It let people know that the fire service also did emergency medical care and helped people survive from the wreck to the hospital.

When "Roadhouse" came out,I was surprised to see Kevin Tighe still acting but have since seen other movies from earlier than that with him listed.
What happened to the guys filling firefighter roles?Did they keep on the department and go on to other things?Does anyone know for sure?

Do not forget that any self respecting Paramedic worth their salt stops, takes an extra 1/4 second and flips the tops of the pre-filled syringes. A-la Johnny in the opening credits.

A few years ago Emergency was on TV Land and then all of a sudden they removed it from the listing. I emailed TVLAND and filed a complaint about it but to no avail they kept it off anyways.
Though I did give it a try to bring it back.
Front line since 1983 and still going strong

Emergency ran from 1972 to 1977.... Times have sure changed in EMS and Firefighting since this showed was first aired...
Maybe they might have movie remake of Emergency, like they did the Dukes of Hazard...

Please, not like they did the Dukes of Hazard!
They did SWAT recently, and it was no blockbuster, but it was watchable.
I would like to see a remake, but not a low budget POS to just make a quick buck. Of course get some big names, and lots of cameos from the original series members in other roles, but lets get a good story and director too.Never argue with an Idiot. That's a stupid thing to say. Who wouldn't want to see Jessica Simson as Dixie McCall?

For those who need a "fix" of Emergency .... Season 1 (including the pilot) is now available on DVD. I got mine at Best Buy ... $32.95 I think .. and it was worth every penny!
