Hornsey - house fire

Four fire engines and around twenty firefighters attended a blaze in a house converted into flats on Frobisher Road in Hornsey last night. The house of two floors was made up of six individual flats and the fire started in one of the rooms on the ground floor. The blaze completely gutted the room and severely damaged the rest of the building. Two people left the building before the brigade arrived and fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels to tackle the fire. The Brigade was called at 2329 and the fire was under control by 0029. Firefighters from Hornsey, Tottenham and Holloway fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
