*** REPORT FROM THE LINE OF FIRE ***

LOS ANGELES, CA:
GREATER ALARM BRUSH FIRE:

On Sunday, October 16, 2005, at 1108 hours (11:08 a.m. PDT), fifteen companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, one Assistant Chief Officer Command Team, three Battalion Chief Officer Command Teams, one Arson Unit, one EMS Battalion Supervisor, one Brush Patrol, two LAFD Rescue Ambulances, three LAFD Helicopters, two Los Angeles County Camp Crews, and the Park Rangers, under the direction of Assistant Chief Alfred Hernandez operating under a Unified Command with the Park Rangers, responded to a Greater Alarm Brush Fire near the intersection of Hollywood Drive and Western Canyon Road in the Griffith Park area. First units on the scene reported approximately one acre of grass and medium to heavy brush burning on a hillside in rugged terrain and with winds out of the south at 10-15 mile per hour. Firefighters using handlines aggressively attacked the hot flanks of the fire while water-dropping helicopters simultaneously attacked the head of the fire in a concerted effort to stop and control the rapid progression of the fire. In approximately one hour and five minutes the fire was knocked down and contained to five acres brush. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is listed as under investigation.

We offer Nationwide pager coverage. We are resellers for USA Mobility and NEP/UCOM Paging. Incident coverage includes Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.

We page Working Fires and greater, Motor Vehicle Accidents using Jaws, MCI, or Medflight Helicopter. Police Incidents such as Shootings, stabbings, car chases, etc. and Major NEWS incidents.

We have a National Group for multiple alarms that we get from our affiliates across the country and Canada.

We have several groups to choose from and all groups have the option to be turned off. We also use a state of the art FLEX system which allows us to page 240 characters. We also offer 1.7 way and 2 way pagers for guaranteed delivery of your pages.

A feature for those outside our pager service area allows us to page our incidents to your personal alphanumeric pager or to your digital cell phone or any E-mail enabled wireless device.

For existing Fire Paging groups we have the TAC9 USA Computer for multiple alarm fires. A Fire Paging group sends one page to this computer, either by SNPP, WCTP, SMTP (E-mail), or TAP (dial up) and the system sends that multiple alarm fire to all your reciprocal groups. That simple !

Call us for details or check us out on the web at www.tac9.com

Thank You for your interest in TAC9 PAGING
