FDNY Hiring List #2043

Does anybody know what number the FDNY is up to on list #2043. The city website has not been updated in some time. They last had it at approx. #1300. Also, does anybody know when approx. the next classes are scheduled and how many?

I know that they just started another class a few weeks ago. Maybe almost a month ago at this point. I wanna say that they are somewhere between 1300 and 1600.

I'm an EMT in FDNY and they have reached list #1663 in the current class. The next class is tentatively set for January 16th-ish. Good luck

That was going to be my question as well.

You are going to need alot of juice to get into any "A" Truck anywhere in the city.

PS-That Truck sh*t is over rated anyhow...the knob is the job.

Current Appointment Information, Exam # 2043: The FDNY is appointing from Firefighter List #2043, which was established on May 5, 2004. To date we have appointed 885 eligibles from firefighter List # 2043; 240 eligibles entered the September 26, 2005 class. We have reached List #1663.

-Future Probationary Firefighter Classes (subject to change)

January 16, 2006
Candidates will be from FF list # 2043, #0532, #4532

Basicly after this Jan class goes in they will probably be around the mark the Lt. mentioned.

I wish the best of luck to all you guys trying to get on the job and I don't want to sound like I don't want you guys to get this great job but WHEN is this hiring going to stop? It seems like the fire houses are full. Both companies in my house are full, we have multiple double groups. Hey Lieu or FFFRED are you guys full, are other parts of the city full??
