    Default Fire Academy?

Does anyone know of any fire schools that you can go to, and they will give you the entire course for firefighter I or II all at once? Someone mentioned a school in Durham to me, other than that I have no idea. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know where you live but a local Community college to me holds what they call a rookie school to anyone in the fire service.

Here is a link to their site http://www.rowancabarrus.edu/continu...ghterI&II.html that is a cabarrus county school you can email the guy over con ed to get a copy of the Rowan county school. The classes are the same but for the Rowan county school you must pay a small fee for a t-shirt and the chance to work a shift with the paid department in the county.

    Hope that helped

Im about 130 hours into my FF I&II class right now. Its at the local career center adult ed department. www.delawarejvs.org

Im not sure where you live but your state may also have a state ran program but you would probably need a sponsor to be enrolled in it. The state ran program here is www.ohiofireacademy.com

    Just a thought,

Austin TX should be hiring in the next 4 to 6 months.

Acadamy is 6 months. Pay is 35,000 while you get your certifications in Fire and EMT.

    1st year pays 42,500 5yr FF pays 58,000

Maybe there is something in your area you might have some luck with.

    Good luck!
