i am a dallas stars fan. i am just about to be 15 and just about to be a cadet (when i'm 16). i hated to see turgeon go. turgeon was a good player in dallas. the broadcasters for colorado were badmouthing the stars for the way they played turgeon in his last season with the stars. they said "dallas used turgeon as a left wing when he is clearly suited to play center" whatever! turgeon was and still is a great player even if he plays for colorado. (i also like the avs but the stars are my team because i used to live in texas)

    LOL. Right on!

I just got home from witnessing the Devils become the most recent victims of the hockey juggernaut that is the Ottawa Senators! Wooohooo.

GO FLYERS!!! If you wat to watch a real team play the game right, watch the Flyers. If you want to see lack of skill and over paid cry babies play hockey like pansies, then look no farther then to any WEST coast team.

Should I admit I am a STARS fan? Being in Dallas, I kinda feel obligated.

I agree, they looked real good in that 6-0 loss to the Lightning Saturday.

I am a die-hard Rangers fan (Potvin sucks). But, regardless of what team you root for, I truly believe that the rule changes have made the game 100% better to watch. No clutching and grabbing, no trap, 1/2 ice passes for breakaways, goalies int he net, one line change per whistle, they are all great.

Also, has anyone noticed a distinct lack of fighting this year? That is also a great thing.

    Default My team sucks

All I have seen is the continuation of the downward spiral by the once proud Chicago Blackhawks. Come on baseball.

I watched my flames lose in a shoot-out last night to Columbus...

Very exciting. Kept everyone in their seats until the last goal was scored. I'd have preffered a Flames win, but at least they got a point out of it.

I did almost choke when I had to pay $7.00 for a beer. The tickets were free, so I guess its not so bad.

    Go Flames!

    Talking new rules

who likes the new rules of the game? their ok, you just don't see as much hitting. and the goalies should be able to play the puck in the restricted area (used to play goalie so that's why i say this) the game is better though i think. eliminating ties are good. even the shootouts are good. Oli Jokinen of the dallas stars is 8 for 8 in the SO's. dallas: best road team, 1st in there division, 3rd overall, 2nd in western conference. they are on the way to the stanley cup. Go stars!

    Me.

The best part is that I can watch a whole game and still catch the 9:40 PM NJ Transit Mid Town Express.

Die Hard Islander fan (4 In a row) I agree with George about how the game has improved.

    I agree with George too.

I can't believe I said that but I have to say that for once George and I are on in agreement on a sports issue.

On a different note, at looks like our Toronto Blues Jays are trying to compete with the Yankees, Mets and Red Sox in the "cheque book" recruiting business, very sad.....Oh the humanity!

In the Hockey Hall of Fame, right next to Ron "Smurf" Duguay and Barry "Stone Face" Beck. Oooooop’s, NOT. Damn Clark Gillies kicked both of their asses.

that's what my parents say about Marty Turco goalie for the stars. they only say that because he is one of the rare aggresive goalies. he likes to play the puck alot. i don't see anything wrong with that. look at his stats. there exceptional. about the potvin (i assume felix potvin) thing, i think he was better in LA than with the isle's. all these goalies are going back to there original teams too. Chris osgood with detroit, last time i checked Curtis joseph in St. Louis.... the list goes on. what about the olypmics? who you going for? I go with the US. There pretty good. Great roster this year. veterans, but alot of younger players. i think they may bring home the gold
