Thumbs up Man...does this feel GOOD!

After a NASTY hot (even for Fla) summer, the first cold front of the season has arrived. 72 now on its way to 59 with a high tomorrow of 69. I am a happy boy.

    Funny you mention that.

I was reading some of the hurricane reports this morning and one of the weather stations near where it made landfall was reporting snow. I thought it a malfunction, but maybe...

AAAAHHHHHHHHH 54 for a high today, 35 tonight. Say goodbye to grass! Normally that would be a bad thing for me, (Lawnmower repair business) but I've decided to close my shop in town and move to my shop at home. I'll only be keeping about 40 customers (Good ones! ). So in light of all the above YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE.

We had a pretty roasty toasty summer this year as well. It's still hovering around the 80's, but they keep saying that it will start to cool off into the 70's. Yeah ok.

I think that it's still around 90 in Phoenix. Yikes.

Only thing better than a good frost is 2 feet of snow, so we can fire up the sleds.

There was reference to the 4 letter "S" word in this mornings news. Maryland and PA figured prominently in that report.

I've been warned to prepare for FOOLS on the road if/when it hits the DC/VA area. Lots of stories regarding school and office closures have been circulating around here.

YUCK! It's chilly and wet here. You all can keep your cold weather and snow, I like it hot. Bring back the summer!

If I had my druthers,I'll take cooler weather.
In the winter, you can always turn the heater up(that needle goes to 90)throw another blanket on the bed, make up with your spouse and share body heat ,drag the dog into the house and throw it on the bed to stay warmer.
But in the summertime when your eyeballs are sweating, you can NOT take your skin off.I've tried.

You actually probably COULD and believe it or not it WOULD solve your problem of being too hot. Conversely you probably wouldn't have to worry about cold either since I believe 6 feet under ground is probably a consistently cool temperature... not cold, not hot.... you know just right for daisy fertilizer!!!

Oh and I vote for HOT, the first snow storm is cool, the one or so 'blizzard' per winter is cool, but the 2 -4 inches every 3 days in January and February just **** me off and so does the single digit temperatures. I'm tall and when the mercury drops that low, it gets below eye-level on the the old thermometer outside the kitchen window and that things hard enough to read while waiting for the coffee to brew.

Dammit, the weather sucks here. I would rather it be hot, or cold, but this in between crap sucks. I hate the transition times, you know from hot to cold, and vice versa, it just feels colder when you go from summer to winter. Once I adjust it isnt too bad, I can walk around in the snow in my shorts and not mind. And the spring it just cant make up its mind 65 one day, snow the next, Arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh! I cant take it anymore!

I certainly hope those temperatures are in F not C, because it would be mighty hard to drink a glass of water with it boiling!

    Yes, yes i have.

EDIT: Just realised that in less than 2 weeks i will be a full time volunteer. I was thinking of my first officer and the first officer of the two surrounding brigades. They just do handy man work

For all the life of me, i cant see a firefighter going to hell. At least not for very long. We would end up putting out all the fires and annoying the devil too much.

Not exactly winter here just yet, but we have started to make snow on the mountain. International Race Teams will be here training next week.

It's begginning to look a little like Christmas.
