Does anyone know what number they are up to right now? I just spoke to human resources and the woman told me they were only through 3200. I thought I saw that number on here years ago.

I was thinking of the Zbkowski (sp?) who plays for the bears and wants to be a FF. It got me thinking how he has the best of both worlds, if he doesnt get hired, then he stays a football player, if he does get hired then he is a FF. But kind of ****ty if he leaves the bears high and dry but oh well.

I believe he got booted from the process on day 1 of preliminary processing. Couldn't follow directions in terms of "business attire".

Business attire does not mean business casual attire. Basically, failed his first attention to detail "test", and they turned him away at the door.

3200 seems high. I Think the last group of guys hired was like at number 1000 (not the all black class). I thought on our first day they said they called back like 1500 people, and only like 800 showed up or something.

I would love to know what the numbers are looking like right now

^ " no reason to lie..." hahahaha..how about she just said a random number cause she has the slightest clue of what's going on. What I've learned throughout this process is 1, this dept and it's processing could be run better by my 6 year old..and 2, nobody and i mean nobody in the dept, cousin, ff, pm friend, aunt or uncle have any idea as to what and when it will happen. I even laugh at the Nov start date.
Put me in a room with blue sweats on with the cfd logo doing push ups, then I'll believe..

They make fun of Zibikowski and how he got denied for his attire on a daily basis on 670 the score. I crack up everytime I hear it. He might not even make the team. Besides this could be his dream job. I can respect a guy that gives up money for a dream.

if his number was 8 he was invited to come for a different reason then being next in line. He possibly had somone die in the line of duty. 8 is the worst possibly number you could have in this lottery so he was not next in line

He did mentioned about a death because they were telling us about the horses are named for fallen FF's and PO's. But I think it had to be an uncle from way back. I cant see him getting moved to the front of the line because of that. He was shocked as anyone when he got the letter. you have to look back on the thread, the numbers dont mean anything anymore.

I'm not sure thats the case...numbers matter as to who got called back to this group..I think when we are hearing numbers dont mean anything anymore its in regards to us all back now. So for examply my number of 1800 doesnt mean sh*t versus joe blow who is also included in this group at number 2200. Thats how I took at it at least.

who the hell knows with this crap though
