So yesterday I picked up my packet and it says you need the following items with you: This letter, Government ID, Black Ball Point Pen, Completed Interest Card (enclosed), Completed J Form (enclosed), Completed Release to take CPAT (enclosed), Completed Physicians Medical Release form to take CPAT (enclosed).
So, I swore that I did not have the "release to take CPAT" in my packet. I called down to CFD today to tell them I was missing the form and they basically acted like I was a moron and was making this form up. They said the only CPAT release is the medical. I didn't have the letter with me at work, so I then thought I was crazy, but just got home and it does in fact say what I thought. Do I have a different letter than others, is the letter inaccurate and doesn't require that form, or am I actually missing this form?
Received my packet this past Monday, and I'm scheduled for May 13th! The dates for the CPAT are a 3 hour orientation for the test, right? Then from there, do you set something up with the school for practice/testing days? If we do choose our own CPAT testing center, we just have to let them know during processing right? I'm a veteran and still serving in the Air National Guard. Are there any other vets on the forum? What's up with the 10% vets in each class?
Apparently my packet is waiting down at the post office. I'm number 23XX. Thought I'd give an update since I haven't seen too many higher than myself. Harry, aren't you around there, number wise?
Yes. I'm in low 2300's.
UPDATE: I contacted post office and they have it.
Just passed CPAT..no prob! Bring on the next step!
Can anyone answer my question as to if your letters stated one of the requirements for orientation was a "Completed Release to Take CPAT" and if that release was enclosed in your packet? Personnel told me over the phone you should have 6 items, but my letter definitely has 7.
I went to SUFD..did the one time challenge..and passed in just under 8 minutes..it's a breeze if ur in shape.
It's probably reserved
I have a feeling that this CPAT deal isn't gonna fly when all the chicks start crying fail. Trying not to get my hopes up.
I believe the chicks cried fail after the first PAT which is why we are ALL doing agilities over again in CPAT form.
Regardless, if you failed the first PAT....good luck passing CPAT.
This is where the seperation begins.....those that truly WANT/CRAVE/DREAM the calling versus those that are just tired of flipping burgers and want something "new"
