So it looks like all the women today, so just report how many you have show up each day if you can, so that we can figure out how many remain throughout the week.

Personally, I would think 50-60% would be a rather high rate of the women passing the CPAT. That article someone sent said Phoenix is well known for their high pass rate for women and see about 36% pass.

I think that number is like 1400.
They went up to 2400 with the letters I believe.

If I remember right, about 70 to 80 reported to the academy each day in Jan 10' for the PAT. I think that's how we figured 700 back then with only about 350 showing interest and then who knows/cares how many passed the PAT. My guess it's the same this go around, 70 to 80 per day is what they allotted. Now the only caveat to that is we had to turn in our interest cards prior to our physicals in Jan 2010. So who knows how many will really show up. I bet the first few days are heavy and then might trail off. So I'm on the 9th in the morning, don't know if I'm the first group or not but I'll try to get a head count guys. Looks like the dates for the people that didn't sue (us) is the 7th - 14th. I think the 14th is the latest I saw someone post.

And if anyone has the tenacity to ask someone if the women, regardless of number will jump to the head of the line? I mean I know in the article they said this still has to be passed by the city council, which I'm sure it will however I wonder if they can/will remove that one provision to curtail further lawsuits. Because I can't see how there isn't grounds to sue if women with a higher number than a guy gets to jump ahead? Sex-based discrimination?? Not saying I'd ever sue but I'm not say someone else won't.

Really it's anyones guess. Lets just do what we are told and maybe they will actually do 3 academies.

Give me a break, before April I hadn't taken the CPAT, or "trained" with some personal trainer and still smoked it in under 8 mins. Sorry guys I'm just frustrated. If you look at the girls, the FP guys, plus crossovers and vets.... that leaves about 5 spots for guys that weren't in FP. Lets just break it down, lets say 20 women get to the head of the line, plus 80 FP guys left over, and 10% of crossovers and medics per academy of 100, that would equal 160 spots GONE out of 200. So I think it is fair to say we will be "competing" for 40 spots guys.... With my number, idk if I'll ever hear anything again after this week is over.

Oh and if those girls do get a good turnout and pass rate, some of you FP guys might be hosed until the second academy, but hey at least you'll make it on the job!
What are FP guys sorry I am new

My date is the 14th but I don't remember my number. I don't really have my hopes up anymore.

I don't think orientation dates coincide with our numbers.

I wonder if is going by numbers then last name. My buddy is a Jan 10 like myself. He is 17xx. Last name A-M and goes tomorrow. I am 15xx and last name N-Z. I go the 8th. Now I am not basing this off of anything but I wonder if the are going by where you stand in the process then last name. Now this is all speculation but since we don't know eachothers last name or process standing, this is only a guess.

My number is 20xx, Jan 10 PATer and my last name starts with an S. My orientation day is Thursday the 9th.

That theory doesn't sound right. I think the number theory is still in play. All the women go today and the 1100's to ? go in tomrrow Tuesday the 7th.

Don't forget not every 100 numbers might have 100 people in it. Bode could be the only 1100 out there and then it jumps to 1250 or something

That is exactly what I am talking about.
Jan PAT in the first three days. Last name S. Last day of that group.
My buddy is 17xx and goes tomorrow. It is entirely possible that they have lumped the Jan PAT groupd and lumped them in with the FP group only because of how much time has passed. Hiring will still go in number order. This is just processing. I think the Jan PAT went to like 2100. Then 2101-2??? Went in April.
Again this is all a guess. Just trying to make sense of the numbers.
I mean tomorrow there could be guys in the 2500's and totally blow that theory.
