Spring Hill Gets the Nod for a Quint
Local papers today report that Spring Hill received approval for a 105' Quint. 500 Gallon Water Tank and 2000 GPM pump. I am "assuming that it will be a Pierce and delivery is scheduled tentatively by April.
With the recent purchase of a SUTPHEN by the City of Brooksville (May delivery scheduled) this doubles the aerial fleet in Hernando County.
Aerial apparatus in the county are a good buy as the growth is astronomical now and that growth includes large big box stores, multi million dollar homes and lots of commericial space.
Hopefully the Hernando County Fire Service will be successful in their quest to add a ladder to their fleet, giving the county 3 new units and a much needed improvement in mutual aid coverage.
