Edgware man taken to hospital

A man was taken to hospital following a fire at a restaurant on Station Road in Edgware yesterday morning. The blaze damaged part of the ground floor. The man was taken to hospital by London Ambulance crews suffering from burns to his hands and face. The Brigade was called at 1113 and the fire was under control by 1141. Four fire engines and around twenty fire crews from Harrow, Mill Hill, Stanmore and Wembley fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.

Harrow older person rescued from house fire
An older person was rescued from a fire in a house on Kenton Gardens, Harrow last night. The fire completely gutted the first floor and roof. A wall partially collapsed during the blaze. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the woman from the ground floor. The Brigade was called at 1750 and the fire was under control by 2053. Four fire engines and around twenty firefighters from Stanmore, Harrow and Wembley fire stations attended. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Thornton Heath maisonette fire
Four fire engines and around twenty firefighters attended a blaze at a maisonette on Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath last night. The fire is believed to have started in a bedroom and damaged half of the first floor.
There was heavy smoke logging throughout the property and five people left the building before fire crews arrived. The Brigade was called at 2048 and the fire was under control by 2129. Firefighters from Norbury, Croydon and Woodside fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
