    Default French Riots

I have a strange sense of apathy about their plight.

Me too. Feel bad for the police, fire, and EMS having to deal with the results of the failure of the French government to take care of its citizens, especially the poor in society that their great socialist way is supposed to be looking out for.

Sadly, this socialist ideology is deeply entrenched in the hearts of many in our own country, despite its failings.

    I've got a question.

If we're such an ignorant, intolerant, unenlightened bunch of xenophobics like the european (and liberal America) elite suggest then why aren't there riots in our streets?

    Like George said. Screw France.

I guess the future headline of 2029 about Jamaica taking over France is starting early. Jamaica or any other small county.

There's a lot of French Chapters in my motorcycle club.(Wind&Fire) The friendship and words of support from those guys after 9-11 was overwhelming. And after the nose thumbing that Chirac gave the US, one of the guys wrote a message stating that overall policy of their govt, was very much different than the thinking of the average Joe on a hoseline in France. And that the majority of the people there remember, and thank the US for all we have done for them. The date of this message was on the 60th anniversary of the Normandy invasion btw. So,,,,Chirac can stick it in his crack as far as I'm concerned. He's getting a little taste of the terrorism that he lambasted us for as we were working to fight against it. I just ask the man upstairs to watch over those brothers of ours doing their very best in a very bad situation.

Ah yes. The Simpsons. Not a finer piece of Americana to be found.

The writers are not exactly friends of France.

I just hope that the folks on the line are safe. It seems that overnight the "scum" began firing shotgun rounds at the police. How wonderful. Especially since firearms ownership is restricted under the wonderful Socialist system that they have there.

The major difference was that we were able to back it up. Nice try, though.
