Looking for good ideas.
What do other Vol. Dept. do to make sure run reports are put in the computer?

Never ending run reports

We hired a guy to do it. We even let him call himself the 'fire chief' and gave him a shiny white hat to doup him into doing our paperwork
"Captain 1 to control, retone this as a structure and notify the fire chief...."
Safety is no accident.

Make it someone's responsibility. K.I.S.S.

Most of the guys can do them. We have computers in both stations and they get entered at the time of the run. Reviewed later by a Captain

In my opinion, everyone should be taught how to do this horrible but very important task. As said above, then someone (captain) should come behind and check them out to make sure they are done correctly.
Just someone trying to help! (And by the way....Thanks for YOUR help!)
Aggressive does not have to equal stupid.

We also hired a guy to do it...very simple that way, but obviously if thats not in your municipality's budget, just make 1 or 2 people responsible for it.

Hahaha i like that white hat guy joke

We write our reports (vitals and crap) on our run sheets. When we get back we enter all the info and all the call details into the computer. We print a copy and staple it to our run report, and we turn it into the records bureau.Adam, EMT-B
