Toledo Firefighter Mike Rickheim tosses a bit of debris from a blaze that caused about 30,000 damage yesterday to a two-story house at 721 Nebraska Ave. The cause is undetermined. The fire, reported about 2:20 p.m., began in a rear upstairs bedroom. It primarily was confined to the room, but there was heavy smoke damage throughout the second oor, Battalion Fire Chief Christine Davis said. The owner, Katherine White, 61, was not home at the time of the blaze. Chief Davis said the house, built in 1897, was insured. The Greater Toledo Area Chapter of the American Red Cross was called to assist Ms. White.
