Have fun all. Martin, if you want to beat my record, I caught 4 snappers.

Well it has been an excellent weekend.

Martin and Elaine arrived about 5.30 on Saturday, so it was time for some refreshments and dinner.

A pleasent evening was spent chatting and "refreshing" even more.

Yesterday Martin and I went for the fishing trip, while the ladies headed off to some of the local vinyards for a taste session and a meal.

Martin caught three Snapper (so Cheffie is still the record holder).

His first snapper had him working, as it was in deep water, with a strong tide run, and he hooked a 10 pound fish. No time to break him into the tricks, just winch it in.

By the look on his face he was slightly pleased with his first time at sea fishing from a boat.

He got 3 all up, another good pan snapper, followed by a 6 pounder.

We picked our spot very carefully, as it has been dry on the fishing down here for the last month, and most boats came back yesterday empty.

We had 14 fish all up with another 3 that were close to Martins big boy.

Photos have definetly been taken, and will be posted later.

Fish and Chips for dinner last night, which apparently tasted alright.

Maybe we will see "Flying Kiwi IACOJ Fishing Charters" advertised in the future.

    Any takers.

    Default Flying Kiwis Fishing Charters

Just back from the epic trip to the "bottom of the world!" .

Mrs m and I had an absolutely fantastic time, with the topper being another meeting of Crust in Kawa Kawa Bay. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Ian and his family and as Cheffie knows, the snapper fishing is second to none.

Thanks again mate and here's to the next time we haul a few in over the side of the boat

    Martin.

Geoff thought about going out the next weekend. We flagged it away. 45 to 50 knot winds and a 10 - 12 foot swell are not fun.

Still, we should be hitting around the same area on Sunday with the weather as calm as when we went out.

Let you know how we do.

I can post fish, Do you want it Air Mail or Surface Post?

    Cheers Bro.
