    Default Spark Arresstor

I am looking for information on a spark arresstor that will not allow embers to enter the intake of the truck. We have a 2003 Ford F-550 with a powerstroke. Has anyone else done something to protect against this? Is there any products out there for this or is it mainly make you own?

    Thanks for any help.

All the spark arrestors we have are about 2" thick, made up of a bunch of heavy screen with holes about like fly screen arranged on edge somewhat like corrugated cardboard. I have seen the results of a few air filter fires, it is not pretty, and plenty of people use these trucks for brush rigs so somebody has to have one. Also there are flame treated filters for some applications although I don't know if I would trust them.
