    Default Field Training Officer Programs

We have recently developed/modified a training program for our new firefighters. After putting so much work into it, we realized that we hadn't put together as comprehensive a program for the firefighters who we are going to have train them. Does anyone have a program for training the training officers? Any help would be appreciated.

You don't say where you are from, but I would say that that your first step should be to check with your state and see what the standards are for a fire service instructor. Most states have instructor training/certification programs available at little or no cost. That should be your minimum standard.

We have modified the law enforcement Kaminsky program for our needs quite nicely.

Check with your local law enforcement, as they have been at the FTO concept for several decades.
