    Default Random Thoughts

    Of real life...

Yesterday at the market, I was in line behind a lady who paid her bill with cash. Not all that strange, except that she used change to pay the exact bill. Still not all that different. But 20 minutes later, I find myself in line at the pharmacy behind the same lady. She again pays with exact change.

So I wonder, if this is how she pays all her bills, how does she have change? Paying this way means she never gets change back. Where does it come from? Does she go to the bank and exchange bills for coins? Or is this something she only does on Tuesdays?

Things that make you go "hmmmm".

No, she doesn't do it only on Tuesdays, she saves it up only for the times she's in line in front of you!

Did she have one of those little coin holders that you squeeze to open? LOL

    Default You found my opposite

I never use exact change. I always pay with whatever bills I have, and the change that comes back goes into my left front pocket. Each evening when I take off my pants, any collected change from the day goes into a jar on my bedroom shelf. When the jar gets filled up, I roll up the change and it's generally good for a pretty nice dinner somewhere (I do exchange it for bills, I don't pay the restaurant bill in pennies ). It always feels like "found money", even though I really earned it just like any other money. I think the checkers get annoyed that they can hear change jingling in my pocket but I don't make any attempt to give them change.

Hmm... Maybe I should have posted this to the "strange habits" thread.

Before shopping, she stops at laundromats and empties the driers.

And well that you DON'T pay for a meal with pennies. You don't know what they are doing in the kitchen to your order and shouldn't give them reason to do worse.

That's alright, yesterday my wife and I went to Panda Express (a chinese fast food resturant) after we went to see the new Harry Potter film. She cracked open her forture cookie and it was empty. What do you make of that? She looked at me flabbergasted and I told her, "You shouldn't look to a cookie to tell you the future." I ducked as she threw something at me.

RE: Panda Express... I ate at the one in my town ONCE. Would never go back. I'm not THAT picky, but it was the one take-out meal of my life that I actually ended up throwing out. The meat wasn't cooked, and the food tasted terrible as well.

    Your mileage may vary.

I actually like it better than a real Chinese restaurant.

I actually like eating there. I like the black pepper chicken mostly. Just a warning if the place closes in one hour, go elsewhere. It's usually just food that is being warmed and not cooked fresh.

FOC-ROF-LMAO! What you said is better than what I thought of: "Well Dear, it looks like you have no future at all."

Have you ever noticed at checkouts--women always start looking in handbags etc for their purse at the last moment? Do they expect the supermarket employee to say"Its OK everything is free today?"

    Here another...

Smokers. Why do peolpe who smoke ride with the car window down? It cant be that the smoke is bothering them, could it? I mean the are...smokeing.

And whats the deal with flipping the butt out the window. Do smokers only drive cars without ashtrays? Or is it really that difficult to empty an ashtray? Is this something that only the dealership can do? What gives???

Default Fortune cookie mistakes. Don't try this at home.

After a good chinese meal, I opened my fortune cookie to find, " The only problem with you is your ignorance." So, thinking quickly, I swapped it for my wifes cookie, and said, sorry honey, I got yours by accident. She was busy talking, and only half heard me, but a while later when she finally got to it......... well, I took my punishment like a man.
