Pardon me if this has been asked before, but I did not find what I was looking for by doing a search.
My VFD is looking at purchasing a 3,000-3,500gal tender/tanker in the near future and a couple of the members stumbled across a 3,500 gal Vacuum tender they really liked from http://southern-fire.com/tankers.html
What is this companies reputation like and are they a good company to deal with. We have never heard of them before & around these parts a Vacuum tender is a rare sight to see if you see one at all.
Oh and what is you're opinion on Vacuum tenders if ya don't mind expressing it.

I don' t know much about Southern. Our tender is from Firovac and we absolutely love it! It was bought new in 1994 and still works like brand new. Whichever you decide to go with, my opnion is that you'll never regret the vacuum tanker. It makes things so much easier and so much more versatile. Not to mention we can self load a lot faster than we can have someone load us traditionally.
We actually set up a drop tank at the fill site and have the fill site keep it full for us so we can use it to fill ourselves rather than taking the time to hook up to the engine...it saves a lot of time that way.
