Fire crews were called to a blaze at a horse stables on Rainham Road, Elm Park in the early hours of this morning. The fire severely damaged most of the single storey stables. Fire crews managed to rescue two horses, but two horses also died during the blaze. The Brigade was called at 0050 and the fire was under control by 0147. Four fire engines and around twenty firefighters from Dagenham, Hornchurch and Wennington fire stations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

North Kensington house fire
Fire crews were called to a blaze at a house on Exhibition Close in North Kensington yesterday afternoon. The fire started in the bedroom and part of the first floor was damaged by the blaze. There was heavy smoke throughout the property. A woman left the building via an internal staircase before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews suffering from smoke inhalation. The Brigade was called at 1508 and the fire was under control by 1545. Firefighters from North Kensington and Hammersmith fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Serious Apparatus Crash N.J.


An engine in Medford, New Jersey rolled down an embankment this afternoon. Three firefighters were rescued from the crash scene. One firefighter was flown to Cooper Hospital, another was taken to Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly and the third firefighter was send to Virtua West Jersey Hospital Marlton. At least one of the firefighters was seriously hurt. The apparatus was an older model telesquirt that didn't appear to have an enclosed cab. Details available at Firehouse.com. We'll update as needed.

1992 - Hampton - NH - 5th Alarm - Mainsail Motel Complex - Fire in 3 sty main building spread into 2 sty 200 foot long north wing, consuming 32 units, 200 firefighters fought this blaze in driving rain just after midnight - The rain later changed to snow - Winds were sustained at 30 mph gusting to 57 mph

1999 - Merrimack - NH - 2nd Alarm - 7 Depot Street - 3 Story Wood Frame Colonial 8 unit apt bldg 40x100- Fire in 2 units

CAMDEN, NJ


Camden New Jersey Fire Department will be honoring three fallen fire fighters who were killed at the Sixth Regiment Armory Fire at West and Mickle Streets on March 16, 1906.

We have found that one of the members is buried in an unmarked grave at the Evergreen Cemetery in Camden. A fund has been established to buy one fallen member a head stone to mark his grave and to upgrade the other two firemen. One was from Engine Co. 1 and two were from Ladder Co. 2. We have made up 200 special Fire Department tee shirts commemorating this 100th Anniversary of this tragic fire. There is alot more to the story about this fire and the events. Some are actually ghostly in nature relating to things that happened before and after the fire more info forthcoming about this.

The tee shirts are available now and are selling very quickly and we anticipate a fast Sell Out. They come in all sizes from Medium, Large, EXlarge, XXlarge, XXXlarge. They are $20.00 each if picked up---$5.00 shipping charge for mailing.
