    Question Just wondering.....

    Was wondering how many departments has received funding and how much funding in the different areas of the FIRE Act program. For example...vehicle, training, ppe, equipment, etc...

    My department has received $230,000 vehicle {2003}; $14,106 fire prevention {2004}; $129,651 equipment,training,building modification, ppe {2205}

    Go to the awards page for AFG and download the .xls spreadsheet. It will give you all the departments and what they got their awards for.

    We received $78,000 in 2003 for Thermal Imager, Transmitter/Receiver and 18 SCBA plus a RIT Pak

    Rejected in 2004 and 2005 for AFG and 2005 for SAFER.

    Chief310....I know it can be disappointing and frustrating in being denied...but don't be discouraged...I have learned that there is only two answers that can be given in regards to grants...yes or no. Just keep trying and holding your head high and eventually you'll get the big one.

    2003 AFG - $79,945 for Station Modifications
    2005 AFG - $165,821 for Station Modifications
    2005 SAFER - $363,024 for 3 personnel & Volunteer Recruitment & Retention
