    Default Trench Rescue information

Hello brothers! I was wondering if someone could help point me to some information on trench rescue. My department is putting together a trench rescue program and I have been asked to get some technical information in regards to tools and equipment for that task. Myself and another firefighter are putting this together. We want to put together 3 seperate lists for equipment based on awareness, ops, and technical rescue situations then compare those equipment lists to what we have on hand and what we need. Training and such is being handled by another group so we are more interested right now in getting the equipment side of the equation together.

This will also be set up according to any federal, state, OSHA, or NFPA standards that are currrently being followed. EVerything is going to be taken into account so we can come up with a decent outcome for this project and a team going forward.

Any information that could be steered my way as far as websites, companies, brochures, or insights from your department would be a great help in putting this together. All thoughts, views, and comments are welcome as well as any info you could send my way.

    Thanks guys!

If you go to our web site www.carsrescue.org and look under "special operations", you will find an equipment list for trench rescue. Check under "download central" and you can download SOP's. Feel free to use anything we have posted and good luck!
