    Exclamation Ambulance Accident Pictures

    Hey all,

I'm a Northern California Firefighter working a second job as a training officer at a small (but growing) ambulance company.

I'm currently writing the curriculum for this company's first ever EVOC, and I'd like to have some pictures of ambulance-involved accidents for the powerpoint presentation, to really drive the point home.

If anyone has any photographs they'd be willing to share of emergency vehicles, especially ambulances, involved in collisions... I'd really appreciate it.

If necessary, I'm more than willing to photoshop out company or department names on the vehicles.

Please send any replies to takingheat@sbcglobal.net.

    Thank you,

    Mike

    Talking Mike

    Hello,

I am the training officer for my volunteer fire department in Arkansas. I seen your post on the Firehouse forum about the ambulance class. I am going to teach emergency vehicle driving to a privatly owned ambulance company sometime in the near future. I was wandering where I could go to get some good pics and video (free or low cost) of ambulance wrecks. I am teaching the out of the VFIS book on EMVD, but I kind of wanted to gear it more towards the ambulance/EMS field for this company. Could you tell me where to go or do you have some material you would be willing to share. I am having a hard time finding stuff on the net. If you could just email me at my email address below.

    Thanks

    Derek,

I tried to send you some pictures but it said your mailbox was full. My e-mail is David.Lincoln@ci.austin.tx.us.

    Mike,

Do you still need pictures? My e-mail is above.

    Default Accident pics

I realize you posted this request in December...but I just saw it today. Anyway, here is a great shot (http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/face/images/full200111a.jpg). Unfortunately the young driver died in this accident-which is why CDC wrote the article-to promote the Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE) Program.

By the way, any site that ends in .gov is open source. You paid for it with your tax dollars. Or at least US citizens did-I don't know your citizenship status. It doesn't matter though, the pics from US and UK gov sites are free. But, as always, you should give credit where it is due. A general acknowledgement statement is always good. Also, many .org sites are happy to lend useage rights to their photography. Just ask (in writing). As long as the pic is being used for a good purpose, they are generally obligatory.

    good luck,
    Crash
