Applications for career Firefighter/EMT will be available at the Fishers Fire Department January 17th through January 31st during administrative business hours ONLY.

Administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

No experience is necessary.

Must be between the ages of 21 and 35.
Applications are due February 3rd.

Does anyone know if Fishers hired a class that started in Jan? I thought they were suppose of the list from last year. Also please post any information about this hiring process (number of people they are looking to hire). Thank you all!

Any idea how many people FFD is looking to hire?

Fishers is growing and I think they are adding a station in the next year or so. They are also losing firefighters to other departments in the area. Indianapolis is taking a recruit class in February and there are allegedly some firefighters from Fishers who are jumping ship to IFD. They don't pay well and don't get alot of respect from their town council. It is a young department. Might be a good place to start though.

By recruit class you mean IFD is hiring off the list they have or taking apps? What you said is exactly what I heard about Fishers....my brothers on Decatur Twp and I know quite a few of the guys he works with. I know a guy on IFD and he knows a bunch.....send me a PM. Any idea their starting pay? I heard 30K but its not confirmed.
