    Default Who makes this Chassis?

Who makes this Chassis? I see its a Rosenbauer, but don't they buy custom Chassis from HME or Spartan? This one is really sharp looking. much more stream-lined than the others I have seen.

Pierce should take some hints from this for the next redesign of the Quantum. Boy, that is hard to get used to.

Almost seems that ALF has a cab just like it.... I could have sworn some place in NY just got an ALF with that cab.

    Thanks,
When I go to Rosenbauer's website, I dont find anything about the Commander 3000. But manybe I am just not looking hard enough. I think the other builders could take some ideas from the styling.

It looks closer to a Seagrave Concorde than an ALF

    Just my view

I would rather push my Seagrave than drive your Pierce!!

Correct, that is the Rosenbauer Commander AT. That particular style was a plastisol cab, however it is no longer in production.

Spartan is now making the Commander AT for Rosenbauer. Link

What??? You don't like the Ford headlamps???
I can't believe they actually pay me to do this!!!

One friend noted yesterday that a fire officer only carries a flashlight, sometimes prompting grumbling from firefighters who have to lug tools and hoses.
"The old saying is you never know how heavy that flashlight can become," the friend said.

    Default Yuck

Last time I checked RVs were for camping not fighting fire. If you could easily imagine an rv on that cab you should definitely reconsider that choice.

That is just about the ugliest truck i have ever seen. It looks like a spaceship not a fire engine.

This is a RB Commander cab. It is (was) made by Plastisol in the Netherlands. It is a glass reinforced polymer (GRP) cab. They showed it up until two years ago at FDIC and ICHIEFS. It was fun to watch from show to show see the structural cracks grow as they showed the same pumper each time.

Styling is european, I think they sold about 25 in the US. Hope this helps.
