How do I become a fire inspector?

I am currently going to a J.C. in California working on my A.A. in fire science.I want to become a fire inspector. If anyone has any information on how I should go about accomplishing this goal please send it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I know that inspector class is part of my A.A. degree and then my college also offers a certificate program for inspections. Just a thought for some schooling but maybe you want to talk to those around your area and see how they got to those positions.
