    Question CAFS Nozzles??????? HELP Please

Ok my department was awarded a FEMA truck for 05, We are getting a CAFS truck with a 1500 gpm pump. I know that we should be using smoothbore nozzles to get the best results for the cafs unit. But here is the question. Is one brand of nozzles doing better then the other? And the Second question is. What size tips are working the best and why?

Or if you have any other suggestions on nozzles with cafs please let me know.

Akron Sabrejet with a 15/16 bore works well for us. The nozzle requires some training for the guys to get used to it though. We also use a TFT shut off with a removable tip on our trash lines. This set up also works well.

    Hi Nebo424,

Here is a CAFS thread that will help. There are links within that tread as well. Which CAFS manufacturer did your deparment purchase?

    Hope this helps.
