Into the Firestorm

Into the Firestorm is a new show that premiered this week on on the Discovery channel.
It comes on Tuesdays, from Jan. 17 to Feb. 7, at 10 p.m. ET/PT
The show is about wildland firefighting...I think it is focused primarily in California.

Not California focused, but mainlyout West. That's where most big wildland fires occur. The first episode was completely centered in Oregon and focused, in part on the Prineville Hotshots....of Storm King Mountain infamy.

It'sa good show and deffinately shows you the differences between structural and wildland firefighting. Smoke Jumping and Hot shotting is some serious tough stuff!

Why is it that all the shows dealing with fighting fire are on Tueday nights? Rescue Me, Firehouse USA, Into the Firestorm, Dirty Jobs.... they're all on Tuesday nights. Unfortunately for me, that is the same nights we have drills so I never get to watch them. Anyone else notice this?

I liked it. Thought the footage was sweet.

Was it me or did it look like they were pulling out brand new equipment when started going to work ???
