    which happened to turn a COUNTRY song into something worthwhile

    Speaking of fighting words

    ============================== =====================

    I know I've got one of them on the phone as soon as they ask me to "justify" what they've seen in an "LAFD Training Video" on the internet.

    How? How? I'm an optimist in most things by nature...but JFC, how can someone think that's a training video?

    Ok, maybe you put it in your toolbox to show something in it. Or as a nice before-the-class starts screensaver...but call it a training video?

    It's a cool music video.

    ============================== ======================

    And the last point...how long till we start having "Internet Retirement Parties" -- since I've "known" Brian since 1997 through what was then bit.listserv.fire-l ...

    You know you and the internet are getting old when "decade" becomes a reasonable unit of measuring time...

    Default be careful boys.....

    first of all, awesome video!! some serious truckies that know how to get the job done.

    that being said, my natural instincts are to steer clear of all the monday morning QBs....... and the brothers on that video have a ton of experience and fight a lot more fire than me........... but.......... i can't help but throw out two words........

    You are correct about not having to re-adjust thier helmets. They just fall off as in one of the scenes.

    Brother Brian- I heard you were on KROQ last week. Was that with Scott Mason? I know him from way, waaay back in the day.

    How did it go? Please email me sometime. I would like to get a French Dip sandwich with you at Phipps. (My Dad used to take me there back in the day)

    Take care, Brett

    No problem. Did one really fall off? I think the only helmet to fall off was in the Phoenix, AZ scene.

    I dont know. Now I gotta go back and take note. Thank alot...

    You guys need to go easy on our helmets. They are sooo sweet to wear.

    Yea about the middle of the video. Seems member was trying to open the vent hole and was in a awkward position when it was lost.

    LVFD- One of my dream FDs. I got sooo close to getting hired there in 1996. (I was the wrong...I mean I didnt fit the demographics they were looking for.)

    Do you by chance have a cousin named Jes in the Bay Area? If so, PM me.

    Thanks.

    I thought so too. At least, the einvironment seems fun to work in. Don't know much about the dept. Have a buddy that just got picked up there. Believe he's already started.

    The video is awesome. Just good fun stuff to watch. I won't sit here and question events of which I know nothing, particularly when I probably have less experience/training than many of the bros involved. I mean, even a truckie oughta' be able to see that.

    Calffbou- can you put the link back up for the video. The original link takes you to some website with a million videos on it. I looked through the first 300 on fire and quit looking. Thanks or you can email\pm me with it.

    Default Is there a direct link instead of dealing with YouTube

    The current link won't let you down load the vid unless you get a reply back from the host. Is there another way to down load.
