SUBMITTED = original application submitted by author

CONFIRMED = original application approved by head of agency

RESUBMITTED = application revised and resubmitted due to your SAA not concuring with your application

RECONFIRMED = revised application approved by your head of agency

SAA CONCUR = Your states administrative agency believe your application conforms with the state's homeland security strategy

SAA NON-CONCUR = Your states administrative agency DOES NOT believe your application conforms with the state's homeland strategy

    SAA = State Administrative Agency

The SAA is usually listed in the Homeland Security Grant Program Guidance. But if it's not it should be out on their web site.

The SAA agrees that what you have stated is true where you claimed compliance with the state's homeland security initiatives. Same type of check they do in the AFG when people check the Critical Infrastructure box.

We recieved confirmation and it said:
"This acknowledges your confirmation of the subject CEDAP Application.
Notifications have been sent to the SAA, the State Technical Point of Contact,
    and the ODP Preparedness Officer.
If no contrary action is taken by the SAA, this application will be forwarded
for evaluation. If the SAA non-concurs for any reason, you will be notified by
    email.
Thank you for your participation in the CEDAP program."

We have not heard further since November.

Is this a bad sign or what?????

    Default CEDAP Confirmed status note

    A quick question-

Anyone know if it means anything to have a comment "Forwarded for Consideration " by RTK staff? I see this when I click on my app's Confirmed status link and it comes after the SAA Concur comment.

I'm thinking it may just mean it passed all the checks and balances to even be looked at, but would hope that it would mean something even better (like we are on our way to get the grant). We went for the HAZMAT PDA.

BTW- has anyone tried to update their profile recently? Mine got hosed and it gives me an error when I try to update it.

It means you're on to the next level of consideration for award. The SAA is the State Administrative Agency, responsible for saying yay or nay that your situation is what it is as you stated in your application. They agreed that whatever risks and needs you have are true, and agree that you should be funded. No guarantee that RTK will give it to you, but you're a lot further along than most.

It's kind of a circle--all submitted applications were sent to the SAA for concurrence. Those that were "non-concurred" had a chance to edit and gain concurrence. Now the twist...any applications that were confirmed, sent to SAA, and not non-concurred as of 1-27 (i think, check the shut-down timeline on the RKB site) were forwarded for consideration without concurrence by the SAA.
Moral of the story...unless the SAA applied the "non-concur" status, nothing had to be done by the SAA. No response from SAA had the same effect as "SAA-Concur" and was moved up the ladder. In that case, the status remained "Confirmed" but the chain of custody was updated.
    Good luck to all.

    Great!!!!!!!!!!

Now the RKB site (aren't they private) says my login is invalid and I can't even log on to check my status.

I sent them e-mails but it's not working yet.

I wish the Govt. would just run it's own websites and take care of it's own programs.

I hope not, we'd never get anything done. When it comes to technology the feds are the last to see it. I read an article in CIO magazine last year about the failed attempt to consolidate the FBI's application systems. Ends up that almost half of the field offices either had no computers, or were working with 486s or slower that couldn't handle any of the newly proposed applications.

There was a new round of hacking going on. IACOJ's web site was hit, and my email provider lost Address Books for a good part of yesterday. Nerds with nothing to do.

Is there some trick or link I'm missing to check the status of our app?

I click the "check status" link and it redirects me to the same page as the link.
