    Default Leather Boots

Well I am looking into getting a pair of leather FF boots. In the eight years that I have been volunteering I have always had rubber ones. Anyone have any suggestions on what brand is good. Also comfort level etc..

    Thanks..

I were Black Diamond 14" leather boots. They are pretty comfortable.
This is my opinion and in no way represtents the opinion of my department.

I've got a pair of Pro Warrington 3009 leather boots and I love 'em.

A couple of our members have Haix boots and I think I'll try a pair when it comes time to reitre these. They look like the hold up a bit better than the Warringtons (the top tends to flop over as they age).

I have Warrington Pro 5000s. They feel almost like a pair of sneakers. I love 'em!

Warrington is the only way to go. I have been in a pair for the last 8 years and they are just as comfortable today as the old sneakers that I would never grt rid of as a kid.

like weruj1 says, look around first before you make a deceison and make sure you try them on before you buy! i tried most and purchased LaCrosse by FIRETECH at a cost of $210. only because they offered what i was looking for!! research, read, compare, try, buy. Good luck in your hunt for leathers!

ps. sometimes even on here you get a onesided sales pitch because of a name brand!

I have had my Warringtons for three years and they are great. The company is now in the process of purchasing them for everyone.

A few of our firefighters (including myself) have Thorogood pull up square toe boots and they are very comfortable. I purchased mine at thefirestore.com

    Talking Pro Warrington 5000

I have bought these boots for all my guys who have made 85% or better of the calls in a year. They are Comfortable, and they do keep your feet warmer than a set of rubbers (North Idaho Winters/ 2+ hour car wreck scenes) And they do fit like a pair of tennis shoes.

I get mine from LN Curtis. BEST PRICE AROUND!!!!

I was rescently issued a pair of Warrington 5000's. I was used to rubber boots, so these boots are like heaven!
