    Post Milwaukee Firefighters Fired

I find it extremely dissapointing that the Firefighters including 2 Lieutenants performed in this manner. What is really bothersom, is that the firefighters on the other end actually watched and found this funny. What is wrong with people today? Fun is fun, but when it comes to these types of gags that is uncalled for in our proffesion on duty.

Nope its never funny when someone loses their job, however foolishly. I do however think that the firefighter who reported this incident will probably be in for a rough ride

The whole incident is a shame. People's lives were ruined and their families are impacted forever. Talk about a joke that got out of hand.

You have to wonder about someone who would do that in front of a computer screen. Also, you would expect an officer to step up and stop it before it went too far. Who knows, maybe it went too far too fast.

Either way it is a bad deal for everyone involved. It also made the national media which makes us all look really badly. One of the biggest questions asked by the local media is, "What do the firefighters do in all of their down time?" We don't need that kind of scrutiny.
    Stay safe,

How did it make it to this level? Did the guy in question complain? What ever happened to what happens on your shift stays on your shift, nothing leaves the firehouse, ever!

I am in no way condoning what this firefighter did, but in answer to your question, the person who reported it will be able to claim that she was traumatized by it, was retaliated against for reporting it and will collect some big, big bucks as a result.
As for the knob who committed the lewd act; I can't believe that anyone with average intelligence would do something like this while at work with a department computer and not even put a sack over his head.
