U.S. FIRE ADMINISTRATOR TO JOIN WELDON AT EVENT RECOGNIZING LOCAL DHS FIRE GRANT RECIPIENTS
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (1 Feb.) – Chief Charlie Dickinson, Deputy U.S. Fire Administrator of the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) will join U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Pa.), Vice Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and founder of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus, at an event recognizing recipients of the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s fire grant programs from the seventh congressional district.
“Over $5 million in fire grants have been awarded to fire companies in the seventh congressional district. This is an opportunity for these recipients to be recognized for their awards and to display some of the equipment purchased with their grants,” said Congressman Weldon. “I am pleased that Chief Dickinson will be attending this event. His work in support of America’s fire service for more than three decades is representative of someone who understands the crucial role that first responders play in protecting Americans and their communities.”
The seventh district fire grant recognition event will be held on Saturday, February 4th between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Swarthmore Fire Company in Swarthmore, Pa. Local officials and fire companies are expected to attend, and equipment purchased with the grants will be on display. For more information about this event, please contact Joe Connolly in Rep.
