PALMER PARK, Md. -- Police in Prince George's County, Md., are investigating two incidents in which teenagers were abducted and then forced to rob a bank.
Police said the first incident happened Jan. 20. Two suspects abducted a 15-year-old boy, they said, and forced him to slip a note to a bank teller demanding money at two different banks in Landover, Md. After the robberies, the victim ran to a nearby business and called police.
Authorities said it happened again on Monday. An armed suspect reportedly approached a boy on a Metrobus and forced him to pass a note to a bank teller demanding cash in Riverdale, Md.
Bank employees called police and gave them a description of the robber, who was spotted and taken into custody. Detectives later learned the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
Police said so far, no one has been hurt.
