BETHESDA, Md. -- News4 has learned that a 14-year-old boy taken into custody by police in Montgomery County, Md., has been released to his parents.
And investigators said so far, no charges have been filed against the boy.
Police said a teenager walked into the Chevy Chase Bank on Wisconsin Avenue Wednesday and passed the teller a note implying he had a gun.
Investigators said a 14-year-old boy was stopped and taken into custody less than an hour after the holdup.
Detectives said they are investigating to see if this robbery is connected to others in Prince George's County, Md., where teens have been abducted and then forced to rob banks.
The case remains under investigation.

PALMER PARK, Md. -- Police in Prince George's County, Md., are investigating two incidents in which teenagers were abducted and then forced to rob a bank.
Police said the first incident happened Jan. 20. Two suspects abducted a 15-year-old boy, they said, and forced him to slip a note to a bank teller demanding money at two different banks in Landover, Md. After the robberies, the victim ran to a nearby business and called police.
Authorities said it happened again on Monday. An armed suspect reportedly approached a boy on a Metrobus and forced him to pass a note to a bank teller demanding cash in Riverdale, Md.
Bank employees called police and gave them a description of the robber, who was spotted and taken into custody. Detectives later learned the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
Police said so far, no one has been hurt.
