I am looking for any program for the computer to help train pump operation. If it could even simulate some emergency situations that would be excellent.
Thank you in advance.

You can go to "www.IFSTA.org". In their training materials catalog they offer a Fireground Pump Trainer. List for $144.95. Not sure how good it is, but its a start.

Pump Operator Training
I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE AND CUTTING EDGE WAY TO TRAIN THEIR ENGINEERS TO CHECK OUT THIS TRAINING APPARATUS AT (WWW.FDTRAININGSYSTEMS.COM). ITS CALLED THE "FIRE ENGINEER TRAINING SIMULATOR". ITS NOT A DESK TOP SIMULATOR THOUGH. IT ACTUALLY CONNECTS DIRECTLY TO YOUR ENGINE VIA HOSES AND GIVES YOU THE ABILITY TO TRAIN YOUR ENGINEER ON MANY DIFFERENT SCENARIOS FLOWING UP TO 800 GPM AND ONLY NEEDS THE WATER IN THE ENGINES BOOSTER TANK TO DO SO. THE SCENARIOS RANGE FROM 2-4 LINES WITH OR WITHOUT HOSE RUPTURES, HOSE KINKS, OR EVEN PARTIAL LOSES OF WATER. I THINK YOU WILL FIND THIS WEB SITE AND TRAINING INTERESTING. AGAIN....THIS IS VERY NEW AND CUTTING EDGE TRAINING BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN IT FAR EXCEEDS ANYTHING ELSE IN THE FIRE SERVICE!

Unless it has been improved SUBSTATIALLY...I'd say pass...the version we reviewed had major problems...

What types of problems did you find?
