Warehouse fire destroys arcade games
MURRAY — Dozens of arcade games were destroyed in a two-alarm warehouse fire Sunday morning.
Phil RobertsFire crews respond to a two-alarm fire in Murray that the fire marshal said is being considered suspicious. The fire began at about 6:45 a.m. in a warehouse behind Davidson Marine, 4688 S. Riverside Drive (500 West).
Murray Fire Marshal Phil Roberts said the blaze is being considered "suspicious," and an investigation into the cause is under way.
No one was inside the warehouse at the time of the fire, and no one was hurt.
Roberts did not have a damage estimate Sunday night but said several dozen arcade games were destroyed. Other items in the warehouse sustained smoke damage, he said.
The fire began in the center of the warehouse and was contained to that area. It took fire crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control, and they were on scene for another seven hours, Roberts said.
Ten fire units responded, including firefighters from the Murray and West Valley City departments, as well as the Unified Fire Authority.
