RedWing or Danner boots?

Hey all,

I need to pick up a new pair to replace my wornout Ridge boots. Which station boot is better. The Redwing 4473 or Danner Blackhawk II? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My steel toed Redwing wellingtons have served me nicely. They're almost impossible to wear out, and they clean up good. I've had some other brands before and they usually fall apart within a year, year and a half at best. Redwings cost a little more, but I'm going on two plus years with them with no problems.

You need to get a pair of Haix Rescue US boots. They are probably the most comfortable boots out there. If you look in any of the recent fire engineering magazines you can get a 1/2 off coupon, takes the price from $219 to $109.

We have an entire shift here that swears by the Danner Striker Sergeant four-inch slip on boots -- all four guys own and wear them. They seem to be a solid boot and offer the ease of slip-on/slip-off wear.

i'll actually answer the question with the options that you gave. The Danners are an exceptional boot!!! I had them in the Marine Corps and I have them now as a station boot. The Danners that I have now I have had for 7 yrs and only replaced the sole X1. I would almost guarantee you'd be delighted. I own three pairs now

I have the Danners arch is a little high but otherwise a good boot.
