Silver Lake, WI


Salem Rescue was on the way back from the hospital when they came accross a fully involved house fire. The call came in around 0700 hrs. The location was 117 Chestnut in Silver Lake. Fire dept's from Trevor, Wilmont, Silver Lake, Salem. This was a single story house. Every one got out of the residents. 3 peolpe recieved burn's; unknow how bad. The cause of the fire is unknow at this time. Racine Fire Bells was called to the scene due to sub zero temp's.

Whitechapel Ė blaze in derelict building

Eight fire engines were called to a blaze at a derelict warehouse building of four floors on Commercial Road in Whitechapel today. Eleven people were led to safety from the first floor of an adjacent property by fire crews. The fire caused substantial damage to the ground and first floor of the building. Crews remained at the scene throughout the morning damping down deep seated pockets of fire and making sure the area was safe. The cause of the fire will be investigated. The Brigade was called at 0855 and the fire was under control by 1156. Crews from Whitechapel, Bow, Dockhead, Dowgate, Deptford and Walthamstow fire stations attended the incident.
