I would recommend any of the following, they have a proven track record on winning grants for FD's. They are very knowledgeable about the AFG process.

    BC79er (Brian)
    ktb9780 (Kurt)
    dixiechicknc (Alana)

Curious, what is your classification: rural, suburban or urban?
    What have you applied for?
Did you make it to peer review?

    Thanks for the plug Bugle.

Bugle asked 3 of the bigger questions we'd need answers to in order to provide direction. I have 5 pages worth (going to be 7+ by the time I'm done updating) in an assessment document that helps to analyze your situation. That tells me what you are and aren't going to be highly competitive for, as well as give me 95% of what I need to know to work up the application.

This not really being the place to talk business, feel free to drop me an email or PM and we'll see what we can do. Depending on where you're at and what you're asking for, it can all be done for free. Details are on my web site, www.firegraphics.org, along with various samples that people have 'donated' for others to review and learn from.

Shoot, don't let OneBugle kid you, i think he's getting up there with Big Three in terms of knowledge. He's just the one that's smart enough to keep his day job!!

Kidding aside, if i was gonna seek a hired gun, Brian, Kurt or Alana would be worth what they ask. And...they know their stuff. Can't speak for Alana, but i know that Brian and Kurt do a lot of workshops/seminars every year. Well worth the time and effort to get to one of those.
