As long as the computer gremlins go away and they publish the Program Guidance soon those will be the dates. Not that the PG will be much different than last year other than the changes mentioned in the DHS PPT and the workshops. But it would still be nice to have.

Just got back from the workshop. The only ones attending were fire departments.
No news on when the PG will be released. The FPS asked us this morning if it was online as of this AM; which was no.
The application period is still March 6th to April 7th. There was no indication one way or the other if the application period would be extended since the PG was not out.
Just some interesting points that were brought out in the presentation.
1) Each year they try to change out 2/3's of the PR's, so they are not reusing the same folks over and over again.
2) For regional apps there will be a check off box to indicate that the app is a regional one.
3) Regional apps will be grouped together for PR vs. intermingled with individual apps.
4) Same issues that pop up on the forums were brought up in the workshop. Departments are frustrated with not recieving grants or are confused
on why they have been denied for PPE. The FPS did a good job of explaining the DJ process and how to interpret them.
Forgot 1:
5) 3-P2 vehicles were awarded last year in the region: 2 rescues & 1 fire boat.
Other than that, I got to meet some fellow firefighters that I have not seen in a while.

Additional info from the workshop in regards to vehicles.
1) Prices on average have increased $20,000 due to metal increases.
2) There have been instances where chassis's have not been delivered for a year.
