Accident delays S.C. firefighters
March 5,2006
South Charleston, WV - Firefighters in South Charleston got into a car accident on their way to a fire on Saturday morning. The fire happened on Chestnut Street in South Charleston.
The accident was a minor accident at E. Street and MacCorkle Avenue. No one was injured.
Crews say the fire appears to have started in the back of the home. It's still not clear how it started.
While fighting the fire, two firefighter were taken to the hospital after the roof collapsed. They were treated and released.
The family escaped uninjured. They say they feel fortunate just to be together.

Wasn't the South Charleston Fire Department involved in a major collision sometime last year while responding to a call?
