    Default Air horn

I am looking for a reliable but not super expensive air horn unit for my POV (we cannot use sirens in POV). Is one manufacturer better than another ?

I think the best one for you would be the one found in boating stores, mounts on top of an aerosol can, and when you're not responding POV, you can always take it to sporting events and deafen those around you.

Seriously, do a search, lights and sirens on POV's is a very touchy subject on these boards.

what do you need an airhorn in your pov for? , and why do you need it now? lights dont work well enough? im a volunteer and i dont have any lights in my pickup and i get to the scenes just as fast. as those who have a million lights, without an airhorn just my 2 cents

First, I'll give you an honest answer to your question: Shop the Auto parts stores. Second, I'll...... Never mind.

    Save your money.

Unlike sirens, bells, whistles you can install an air horn on your POV.

    Use it...let's see...

$150 for having a horn that emmitts an "unusually loud or harsh sound" (14-80(e),
Infraction for Creating a Public Disturbance (unreasonable noise),
Class C Misdeamenor Disorderly Conduct (unreasonable noise)

You use a horn to warn of a hazardous situation. I'm going down the road, I see someone pulling out of a driveway and I'm worried about a collission, I hit the brakes and hit the horn to warn them.

You can't just go down the street, or stop at an intersection, honking the horn.

There are vehicles the legislature has granted that right to. You're not operating one of them.

"I wasn't a hazard..." thus admitting to making an unreasonable noise?

"I was creating a hazard by operating in a manner I wasn't legally authorized too..."
