Live fire training simulator

Has anyone had any luck getting a live fire training simulator. If so could you please share your narrative so I can have something to start with. Also interested in the cost$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....

If you search on the threads in here there was a really long one about simulators. I wrote one for my department in 2004 but we have too much 'excess funding' to get a grant. A nice problem to have so I'm not complaining. It's on my web site: www.firegraphics.org. We spec'd ours out to have everything and I think it came to $230K.

If the need is there on a regional basis, then certainly would be the better option. But there has to be certified instructors capable of issuing certificates teaching with the unit. Otherwise it falls under self-taught, even though it is hands on.
