    Default Miss the Oscars?

While not a nominee, here's a little something I threw together. I call it "Right and Wrong". I'll leave it to you to decide which clips are which.

That was good, lots of good, "classic firefighting" footage.

Whats the story behind the guys going into the little structure that was totally flashed over? It kind of looked like a training fire gone bad.

Only thing I would add may be a "dedicated to those that lost thier lives in the line of duty saving others" at the end.

I dabble in video production too, its fun.

Thumbs up And the Academy Award for "best firefighting montage" goes to...

    Firehouse and IACOJ.com's very own....

    Outstanding job, Artie!

    Lou,

Some of that footage looks like the documentary I think it is narated by EG Marshall that begins with the Funeral of Fireman Harold Hoey (RIP). It looks much clearer than my copy I have...where did you find that footage? Looks great.

    Nice Video,

By the way the movie crash that won at the oscars stars the DC (forgot his name) of rescue me. he has a very small part at the begining of the movie.
You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

    229,

Very nice footage used in there. Showed the movie to a couple of my firefighting buddies, and we all asked,

"Where can we get a copy of that?"

I really have no problem sending a copy to those who ask for it BUT PLEASE, If your email server will not allow, or you don't have enough free space for a 19 Meg file, don't ask me to send it. It only bounces back a jams my mailbox.

If you send me a Yahoo, hotmail or other free server, I'm not going to bother.

BTW, glad you all liked it.

Pretty nice editing. I would think about tightening up the quote at the begnining, but then again all I know how to do is come up with "good ideas" about other people's work.

BTW did you keep a bibliography (or whatever it's called in video) about where to find some of that footage? I would love to get copies of some of it.

    Really nice work.
