What we cover
400 sq miles with a combo department (3 career on duty 24/7 and 5 vollies, 1 resident)
Population core is centered around County seat. approximately 6000 people with 10 miles of station rest are scattered in remote subdivisions
from Colorado historical society It should be noted that Leadville is actually a National Historic Landmark district, a status higher than National Register. It is the highest form of designation a resource can receive. approximately 20 buildings over 35 feet most older than 1880
What do you think our chances for a 75'platform quint are??

Better than some, not as good as some others.

35' mark doesn't help, the question deals with 4+ story buildings so unless you can answer that with the 20 then you probably won't even make PR. If you have a bunch of 4+ story buildings, being combo helps because that almost guarantees the truck will roll. But considering you're look at a $500K or more price tag, and they only handed out 10 over $500K, 7 over $600K, and 1 over $700K in 2005 you might want to make sure you don't need any equipment first.

Silo's do not count. The following is from the help section for that over 4 story question in the grant application.
Help:
Structures
Do not include structures which are not regularly occupied such as silos, towers, steeples, etc.
