About LinkBacksI am a little bit of a history buff and have been spending some time on the Internet Archive web page. Great collection of movies, pictures, and audio.
One of the more interesting fire service movies is Chief Kenlon's Ride Filmed in 1927, an FDNY chief responds to a fire with a movie camera in the cab of the car. Very interesting response, especially the scenes when he is driving on the sidewalk. The end of the movie is a 5 alarm warehouse fire from 1926 and the barracks fire on Governor's Island in 1927.
You can download or stream the movies for free. There are many other fire service related movies on this site, including one from San Francisco showing before and after scenes from of earthquake of 1906.
Search the Stillman collection for more fire movies.

Do you have Apple QuickTime installed on your computer? The MPEG4 format needs this program to play either the streaming or the downloaded version of the movies.-------------------
