Does anyone know of any resources that give some insight into firefighting in Connecticut? I currently live in Texas and I will be moving to Bristol next month. I was a firefighter in the Air Force, so I have my IFSAC certs. I am also an EMT-B.
Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some websites to look at.
If you’re looking to be a paid firefighter, good luck. The positions are far and few with long waiting lists. As for unpaid (volunteer) firefighter opportunities there are plenty. We are a dying breed here in the northeast. I believe Bristol is all paid staff.
