Default Former WI Fire Chief Dies.

I don't have all of the specifics on this, but to anyone form the area that knows him, it's terrible loss.

Larry Huber, 50, of Cleveland died Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel and will be announced at a later date.

Clip is from The Sheboygan Press, I've known Larry very well for the past 6 years, I owe him more than he can ever know for giving me the determination, desire and knowledge to become part of the fire service for a career. He was an instructor at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland for some time, also had taught classes at the NFA, and was a Chief for Fitchburg Fire Department for some time. So anyone that knows him...it's a terrible loss, though it was an extreme priviledge to get to know him and learn from him. You will be missed Larry....I will PM more info for those who desire it.

    pfd4life...

    Please pm me.

I have known Larry for many years. I knew him as the Chief of Fitchburg, I worked with him as an Instructor at MATC-Madison. I know there have been rough times for him but he was a smart man dedicated to the fire service and he will be missed.

My prayers are with his family tonight. I taught his son Billy and he has helped me get the supplies I have needed at Monroe fire schoool for the past few years.
