Default 8 min mutual aid response video

This is a mutual aid response two districts over for a possible structure..if you listen to the radio you can hear that the other two companies can't get out in time...we are the first ones on scene!

Don't know. the 2 songs drown out the truck radio so you can't hear what your dispatch is saying.

Good vid, but the background music is too loud. Tone that down a bit, and then maybe the radio traffic would come through. I could hear voice, but not enough to make out the works.

I like the sticker that reads something about making sure you turn your PASS alarm on.

The road reminds me of being back home and some of the homes in the back 40. Couldn't quite get that last transmission, just at the very end though....

    Not for nuthin' but...

If I was the officer I would have done two things:
    1. Stuffed that video camera up your butt
    2. Made sure that you did nothing remotely close to fighting the fire.

    What a friggin' unprofessional buff.

I'm not going to slag you like that but,

If I am a member of the public pulling over for the engine, I would be pretty unimpressed with a FF hanging out the window with a video camera. It might suggest that you are out joyriding for footage, and not actually responding to an emergency.

Mount that sucker to the dashboard, and let it catch a better view anyway.

What else could yo be doing for 8 minutes????

Discussing with your partner what type of structure this is.

Talking about the hazards associated with this structure type.

Since nothing else signed on, talking about a first due game plan with your officer.

Developing a plan with your partner.

Taking a minute to concentrate on your task and checking your PPE.

    Just a few ideas ......

    Are you for real?

Your question alone speaks a thousand unheard words. You ARE a friggin' buff.

When I am in the jump seat, I would probably pay attention to the radio to see what the situation was. I would probably make sure that I had all my gear with me and that it was ready to go. I would probably make sure my SCBA was turned on and that all of the straps, hoses, facepiece, etc. were ready to go. I might mull over in my head my assignment and what tools I will need. I might be thinking about the location we are going to...what types of building, what type of neighborhood, what past fires there have shown...I don't know, a few things like that.

Instead, you are playing Billy Buff, hanging out the window with that "Golly, I am ridin' on a fire truck"! look on your face. It is truly pathetic.

All I see are trees. What exactly was the purpose of the video? I could see a real dashcam that shows traffic ahead of the truck being useful. It can show all kinds of good stuff about response and road conditions and educate the public about how not to drive. It can also be cool to just watch. But this was useless. You can't see out of the truck because you need to learn how to use the iris control. And hanging out the window does nothing but show trees.

And for what it's worth, yes this shows the lack of seatbelt usage which is:
    A) Probably illegal
    B) Stupid
    C) Stupid
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Nice attempt, but not only did you make yourself look like a fool hanging out of a truck, you make buffs look like complete idiots.
